Adalheit's Rana Von Rief
Sire: SG37 JKLR BSZS2011 Yimmy von Cromontana Dam: SG1 Ghurgha Vom Haus Sanesta
Rana comes from the VonRief kennels in Colorado Springs, Co. She is German bred, arriving in the USA in uteri. She was born during the Black Forest fires of 2013, and we are glad she’s here! She is a sweet girl, and a beauty besides.
She is a great-grand daughter of 2x world champion VA1 Remo Vom Fichtenschlag on her dam’s side and she is also the great-granddaughter of 2x world champion VA1 Vegas du Haut Mansard. Her sire, Yimmy von Cromontana, was rated SG37 in 2011 at the Nurnberg show. Although it seems as if more emphasis is put on the males in a pedigree, the females are just as important if not more so. Although no video could be found, Rana has V1 Gita od Svete Klare and VA1 Fanny vom Jockhof in her pedigree, two outstanding female Shepherds!
Rana is a wonderful example of good breeding. Well built with beautiful pigment, she will try to accomplish any task you put her to as she loves to learn, and she may even work out some "tasks" she dreams up herself! Rana is easy to work with and she loves her people. She is cautious of new people as shepherds should be yet warms up quickly to them.
She is very in-tune to emotions, she will stay by your side if you are ill or just feeling off, lending a willing back to help you get to where-ever you need to go.
We feel Rana will produce puppies very suitable for therapy or service work, her litters have produced puppies that were very solid pups, both physically and mentally.
We would consider Rana to have a medium drive with a high prey drive.
Rana has been tested and is DM free (Degenerative Myelopathy). She has also been tested and is free of the MDR1(Multidrug Resistance 1) and Hyperuricosuria(excess uric acid) genes.
Rana also carries the recessive long coat gene, so paired with Axl, another carrier, they can and have produced long coated puppies.
Her hips are OFA rated Good and her elbows are normal. Click on "see pedigree" to view Ranas' fantastic pedigree: See pedigree
